Lets make a Fort

I don't know about you but my kids love to make forts.  This summer I got very sick of pulling out blankets and draping them over the furniture only to end up with blankets all over the house.  I went to the fabric store one day when they were having a 99 cent pattern sale and saw a pattern for a fort that you can drape over a card table.  I don't own a card table so that wouldn't work for me, but as I looked at the pattern I got some ideas to make a fort that fits on our diningroom table (We normally use our kitchen table, and our dining room only gets used when we have a lot of company over)  I have to say that my kids love it!  I used large mesh tulle for the window and door so that way their fort can have light, and not get to stuffy and hot inside.  To put the flowers and grass around the outside I just used tacky glue and some felt.

Here are some pictures of my kids playing inside.  This night I decided to have a little extra fun and we threw some couch cushions inside, and brought the laptop in to watch a movie inside of their fort.
