Jenny’s Quilts Quilting Policies

1. Quilt Backing and Batting must be at least 8 inches longer and wider than the quilt top.

To calculate the size of the backing you need to measure your quilt top and then add 8 inches to the length and 8 inches to the width of the quilt top.

Example:
A quilt top that measures 70 x 90
+8 +8
Your minimum backing size 78 x 98

2. Quilts covered in pet hair or that have a cigarette smoke odor will not be accepted.

3. Quilts that have fullness and/or wavy borders may acquire some puckers or pleats during the quilting process.
NOTE: If you have fullness or waviness in your quilt, it is best to pick the stipple quilting design.

4. All quilts and quilt backing must be ironed before dropped off. There is an extra charge to press backing.
$5 baby, $10 Lap/Twin, $25 queen/king

5. There is an extra charge to piece quilt backing.
$5 baby, lap/twin $10, queen/king $15

6. There is a minimum quilting charge of $35.00.

7. There is a minimum binding charge of $20.00.

8. There is an extra charge on all rush orders.
$10 baby, $15 Lap/Twin, $25 Queen/King

9. Quilts wider than 108” wide cannot be accepted.

10. If quilt requires binding, please provide enough fabric to bind the quilt when dropping it off.
NOTE: If you aren’t sure how much you need just bring 1 yard (1 1⁄4 yds for bias binding).

If you are shipping your quilt top to be quilted, we recommend buying your batting from us to help reduce the shipping cost. We offer Quilter's Dream cotton and Airlite Mfg. polyester quilt batting. Both brands are top of the line battings sold only to quilt shops.

Jenny’s Quilts Quilting Designs Price Ranges
Economy designs are priced at $.015 per square inch.
Standard designs are priced at $.0175 per square inch.
Premium designs are priced at $.020 per square inch.

Multiply your quilt’s width by its length to find the square inches.
To calculate the quilting cost, multiply the square inches by the quilt design’s cost.

Jenny’s Quilt Binding Prices
Our binding prices are based on the number of width of fabric (WOF) strips needed to bind your quilt. We charge $3.50 per strip cut to bind your quilt. Prices begin at a minimum of $20.00 and go up to $42.00.
